Who We Are
As a church, our approach to community engagement is a mixture of practical help, prayer help, and conversations about faith. Our faith in Christ is embedded in all that we do. We offer recovery support for those struggling with addictive behaviours through STAR Recovery courses and our weekly drop-in, the Wellbeing and Recovery group.
We also have a community hub and foodbank called Lifehouse with access to other services like Community Money Advice, CAB, Alpha Courses for those exploring the Christian faith, and Kintsugi Hope courses that focus on well-being.
What We Do
Our weekly Wellbeing and Recovery drop-in is an informal space where anyone can come who needs to chat, have a toastie, play games, receive prayer or just enjoy being in the company of others. In addition to this we periodically run Star Recovery Courses.
Welcome To Star Approved Centres
A STAR‑Approved Centre is a church or community committed to creating a safe, welcoming and recovery‑supportive environment for anyone facing crisis or rebuilding their lives. Using the STAR model, centres are equipped with the confidence, knowledge and practical tools needed to walk alongside people on their recovery journey.
Approved centres can run the STAR Life Courses, 6 ‑ or 12 ‑ week programmes that help guests explore the roots of addiction, destructive habits or compulsive behaviours. Through supportive group sessions and practical guidance, participants are encouraged to face their struggles and take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
Together, STAR‑Approved Centres form a growing network where recovery is nurtured, hope is restored and communities are strengthened. Together, we are creating a place where transformation can truly begin.
