Who We Are
Fresh Start is a ministry of Harvest Church, to help people tackle Life-Controlling Habits. We have been running the Fresh Start course since 2018, led currently by a team of 5 Fresh Start Coaches, drawn from 4 local churches.
What We Do
Fresh Start is a 9-week course to help anyone who wants to tackle a life-controlling habit such as smoking, drinking, over-eating, drugs, shopping compulsions, gambling, pornography, internet addiction, etc. It’s based on principles from the Bible and the 12-steps-of-recovery process, backed by 1-to-1 coaching and a support group of others wanting to tackle their habits. Welcome To Star Approved Centres
A STAR‑Approved Centre is a church or community committed to creating a safe, welcoming and recovery‑supportive environment for anyone facing crisis or rebuilding their lives. Using the STAR model, centres are equipped with the confidence, knowledge and practical tools needed to walk alongside people on their recovery journey.
Approved centres can run the STAR Life Courses, 6 ‑ or 12 ‑ week programmes that help guests explore the roots of addiction, destructive habits or compulsive behaviours. Through supportive group sessions and practical guidance, participants are encouraged to face their struggles and take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
Together, STAR‑Approved Centres form a growing network where recovery is nurtured, hope is restored and communities are strengthened. Together, we are creating a place where transformation can truly begin.
